The Oklahoma History Center Presents From Red Dirt to Rockets: Oklahomans and Space; Celebrating and Recognizing Oklahomans' Contributions to the Space Program.

Cocktail attire required. Honorees include astronauts Tom Stafford, Fred Haise, John Herrington, William Pogue and Shannon Lucid, also recognizing engineers, scientists, mission control and special projects Oklahomans John Aaron, Jim Bates, Harold Burks, Charles Dry, Jerry Elliott, Milt Heflin, Bob Holkan, Carole McLemore, Owen Morris, Ernest Randall, Donna Shirley, Gary Tesch, Tom Weichal, and John Meek.

Celebrate the release of the new book, “Oklahomans and Space” by Bill Moore and the 50th Anniversary of President Kennedy’s speech committing the US to putting a man on the moon.

Proceeds support Oklahomans and Space education programming. Please no autographs at the event; seating is limited. Reception and dinner is $125 per seat and reservations are required. For more information and to purchase tickets, please call 405.522.3602.
