My spaceflight experience: a vivid account by the first Korean astronaut.Free with Museum entry. In 2008, Dr.Yi Soyeon became South Korea’s first astronaut. Launched aboard the Russian Soyuz TMA-12 mission, she spent almost 11 days in space and carried out research on the International Space Station. In this special school holiday talk, Dr. Yi will share a first hand account of the background that led her to spaceflight, her astronaut training in Russia and her experiences on her space mission. She will talk about the experiments she conducted on board the ISS and her dramatic return journey to the Earth. At the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia. More information here. |

If anyone gets a chance to visit the Powerhouse Museum, go! It is a great place and they do have a bit of space stuff there, too! | |
