The second in the series of space talks I am giving for the BBC went ahead today. The main exhibits I took along this week were a flown Sokol glove (Alex Volkov LH) , a small Salyut porthole (not the huge one I have - too heavy carry about!) and a sample of the Murchinson meteorite which has amino acids inside. Also a 'space helmet'. I also took along the Apollo-13 near full size prop that has the 3 film stars wearing the space suits and carrying helmets under their arm.
During the talk today I allowed them to come up front and wear the glove ,helmet and have their photos taken in front of the Apollo-13 crew. They all loved that part!
The main tyopic of the talk again was 'Living In Space'
