Hello Everyone,I promised a surprise announcement and here it is:
We have finalized arrangements to offer a limited number of show attendees a specially arranged tour of JPL (home of the Mars Rover Program).
Making this tour even more special however is that Richard Gordon, Apollo 12, CMP will be joining our select group for this wonderful event. It should be a most interesting 2 hours as our group learns all about JPL and the Mars robotic exploration program while in the company of one of the first men to journey to another celestial body. For those of you who have haven't the pleasure, Dick never fails to have something interesting to offer as he is most knowledgable as well as entertaining
Oh, also wanted to mention that each person attending will receive a specially prepared information packet from JPL. Even better though, is that we are making arrangements to have each packet include a little "something extra" that will only be available to participants of the tour.
Now here are some other important details:
1. Tour is limited to 25
2. Date/Time = 9/3/04 at 9:30am - 11:30am
3. Transportation options are now looked at although JPL is only a 20 minutes drive from the Burbank Hilton.
4. There is NO charge for this tour. Yes, that's right - A free tour of JPL along with two hours in the company of an Apollo Astronaut without having to spend ONE THIN DIME!!
5. Security requires that names, ages (if under 18), and citizenship of attendees MUST be provided BEFORE the tour. For US citizens a drivers license will suffice. Non-citizens must provide proof of legal status. There are no exceptions to these security requirements.
6. Final Detail - Have FUN!!!
Anyone who has contacted me about the tour already, please make yourself known again so that I can make sure you're included on my list.
Keep watching for additional celebrity announcements and hoping to see many of you in Burbank!
