Happy Birthday wishes are in order for Bill Anders. He turns 70 today... seven more years and he'll be old enough to fly on the space shuttle!

I just got a cell phone call from a fellow list member who is at the Miramar Air Show in San Diego. He called to say that Bill was currently flying over the show in a P-51 Mustang. I guess Bill is having not only a great Birthday, but a great weekend of flying!

Happy Birthday Bill Anders!

Warm Regards

He was flying around again today at Miramar... otherwise he would have been here for Walt Cunningham's talk.

I helped arrange a birthday party for him last night at our neighboring Aerospace Museum - and because Walt and Dot Cunningham were in town for our signing, it meant they could attend too - so the timing all worked out wonderfully.

So, how was the party? Anyone with a lampshade on their head?

Any word on the party...? I had spoken with Dot about a week ago when she mentioned that she and Walt were glad the timing was going to work out for them to attend....
