The Researcher's Night is an annual event targeted mainly on young people to increase their interest in science and technology. Supported by the European Commission for Research, Development and Innovation it is organized in 24 European countries, in Slovakia traditionally on the last Friday in September. There are lectures, presentations and workshops covering the whole spectrum of research, science and technology.
This year there will be two highlights in the area of the space research. Matt Taylor from ESA will speak on the Rosetta mission and the U.S. astronaut Dorothy M. Metcalf-Lindenburger will present her topic "Daring to Dream Big: Becoming an Astronaut and Working in Space."
