I have arranged for Charlie Duke to come back to the UK in the third week of November 2009 for a couple of corporate events.Once I have finalized all the details of these I will let you all know if we decide upon doing a public event too. Would anyone be interested in seeing Charlie again? |

Andy, all I can say is, yes, I would like to meet Charlie as I have never done so before! At the present moment I have met no moonwalkers, but with Dave Scott coming to Autographica, and Mitchell and Cernan doing UK lectures next year, Charlie would bring me up to four which would be a dream come true for me. Just one favour: since I'm travelling from Ireland would you be able to confirm the date and time as soon as possible as I need to book flights as early as possible (and a venue close to an international airport wouldn't be bad either). And the inevitable question - will there be autographs? And will tickets need to be booked in advance? As you can see from the amount of questions I have, I'm a tad excited to say the least! |

London? Get him on the Eurostar over to Paris, that's the place to be. I'll buy his tickets. |

Okay guys, if we do a public event in November I will let you know. The events I have Charlie over for at the moment are corporate events. As some of you may be aware, I am Charlie's European representative. If you want Charlie somewhere in Europe let me know and we can discuss it. |

You don't want much do you? A lift to see Mitchell now advanced warning and a venue to suit for Charlie. As I said, if we decide to do a public event this time round i will let everyone know. Just keep the third week of November free, just in case. |

Will let you know nearer the time once finalised. I am currently typing this via mobile broadband whilst in a field in Kelling Heath at the equinox sky camp with my LX-200 telescope and 80mm refractor looking at the Pleiades and other celestial wonders. Saw two passes of ISS earlier... great too see as always. |

Just a quick note, the events Charlie is doing in November are private events at the moment, and it is looking likely that time wont allow us to do any public lectures or events I'm afraid. |

I have just arrived back from Leicester University where Charlie Duke has just lectured. It was the best that I have seen him talk. He was really relaxed and very funny. This was an invite only event and the audience were made up of students, lecturers and staff and there were a hand full of children. Clearly everybody really enjoyed the evening.

Thanks Paul, I am glad you enjoyed it. It's been wonderful to spend a week working with Charlie again.I am looking forward to working with him again next year. Things are already in the pipeline with Charlie and others. Tonight was a great event and Charlie really was on top form as he has been all week for me. He is now at his hotel ready for his flight home in the morning. Thanks Charlie! |

Paulus: since you're FAR too old to be a student and are definitely NOT a lecturer, does this mean you've got a job in catering these days? LOL! |

I went to Charlie's talk in Havering, it was very entertaining, I wasn't sure what we going to get, so very pleased it was all Apollo, Apollo 11 and 16 with a little sales pitch from Havering College afterwards. What other events did Charlie do this week, public or otherwise. |

Charlie arrived last Sunday, we had Monday off then Charlie did a business park opening ceremony event for me on Tuesday in Buckingham, rest day on Wednesday for Charlie then on Thursday we had the lectures at Havering as you know (I didn’t see Adam (NASAMAD) at the event then on Friday we had the drive up to the BNSC where we had a meeting with the Chief Executive and directors of the BNSC and the STEMNET directors which was very productive, we had a tour round the space centre too then Charlie did talk to local school children and then we went onto the University of Leicester event in the evening. It was a busy, but fantastic week.

I figured you were one of the two at the back in Havering. Just saw on X factor that its same school Stacey went to, they've had quite a week! |

Interestingly (or not!) I went to Hornchurch Grammar School in the 60's: that's about 100 yards from Havering College! |

John, yes that was me. The staff at the College did a great job and the feedback was very positive.I've got a busy few days ahead too before I can reflect and begin writing about it for Spaceflight, I started a 9 day lecturing stint yesterday so all systems go for me. |

Hi Andy, GUTTED is the only word I can use to describe my experience of Thursday! We had an emergency at work on Thursday afternoon and I couldn't get away to attend the lecture even though it was nearly right on my doorstep!Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you but apparently "drinking water comes first!" (whats wrong with buying bottled water I say!). Look forward to catching up with you another time, and I'm gonna try to keep up with the radio appearances. |

That's a real shame Adam, I did walk up and down the rows of people looking out for you, so really sorry you didn't make it. Maybe next time all being well. Yep the radio is going ok. |
