I've uploaded a PDF document that contains some technical drawings of the Space Shuttle.

It is at:-
http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~spaceuk/columbia/STS107.htm

I expect that some of these areas will feature in the investigation and,as such,I've produced this document to help others understand where the technical items may be.

It is not a comprehensive document since it only hones in on areas that were mentioned in the last few minutes of the comms with STS107

Its a little long on download on a slowish modem.

I hope its of usefulness in coming weeks.

Thanks

The document may well be updated .

The pictures ARE skewed since - from past experience on web sites I produced for NASA - the 'kooks' and anti space crowd use them for totally unrelated technical reasons.

By skewing and watermarking I know when an image has been reproduced elsewhere for purposes that I did not intend.

Needless to say,I DO have good copies of the images and a whole host of other techie detail on some of these areas under consideration. Unfortunaetly, some Rockwell and NASA material I have is poor quality to start with but,it is better than 'nothing'

I did not put reference 3-view drawings since I expected that most people here would know the shuttle layout. These quickie diags are ones that are not normally seen or generally available.

With Acrobat there is the maginification tool anyway.

Anyone with a reasonable technical request I could supply the original "flat face" image - depending on what use the requestee wanted it for.

Yes - its down.

I'm reworking the site.

I'll take out the skewing of the images now most of the kooks have gone and make some of the images clearer.

It was a quickie page I put together just to try and help people follow NASA investigations as they released news in those early days.

I'll repost address here again.
