Even though I know most of the abbreviations commonly used on the board, I still run across some that have me stumped. Perhaps a sticky post somehere, or a link to a page showing abbreviations used on the board along with the space program in general and what they stand for would be nice. For example

WSS
SMEAT
MGA
TRW

See the NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI) site at: http://www.sti.nasa.gov/acronym/main.html

"WSS" - (Not in the STI database.) Tribal knowledge makes me think this is "White Space Suit."

"SMEAT" - Skylab Medical Experiments Altitude Test

"MGA" - Medium Gain Antenna.

"M-G-A" - Mercury, Gemini, Apollo.

"TRW" - Thompson Ramo Wooldrige (A company. Aerospace, automotive, IT, offshore subsea systems, etc.)

All times are CT (US)
