The special postmarker used at Waterford, CT, on the occasion of the Thamespex Station shows a rocket. Could anybody assist in identifying which type of rocket is shown?

Hello Jurgen, According this site: http://millersstampshop.com/ the postmark commemorates the Polaris Submarine. I assume the rocket in the postmark is a polaris missile. Thanks for pointing out the postmark!

It appears to be the Navy's first Polaris A1 fleet ballistic missile that was test fired more than 100 times from the Cape with many other firings from submerged submarines in the Atlantic.
