If anyone has an MA-7 unaddressed launch cover available, I'd be interested in it. I'd prefer an "Orbit" cacheted cover, but any good quality, unaddressed MA-7 launch cover would possibly be acceptable. Scans would be appreciated. Thanks. Bob McLeod |

Bob--Hello dear friend and I must phone/email you one of these days. MA-7 launch cover from Ronson's Orbit, one of his first cachets produced, wasn't engraved as all his others were from MA-8 on. I only have two of Ronson's MA-7/Carpenter, however, both are signed by Carpenter in my Carp-binder collection. I could possibly "locate" from my cover boxes another good cachet variety; perhaps a Swanson/SCC or other "quality" printed cachet covers if that would work for you, Bob. Let me know and I hope you and Mary are doing well. |

Hello Ken. Thanks for responding. I am interested in an "Orbit" ("My Status is Excellent") cacheted cover for MA-7/May 24, 1962 that, I believe, was "Orbit's" 1st cachet. It's unusual, as it has no image and just has that quote and information about Carpenter's flight in the cachet. I have one of the MA-7 Swanson/SpaceCraft (red) cacheted covers and am looking for another type, preferably an "Orbit" cover or other quality cacheted cover. Thanks and plan to see you during the Shuttle AHoF events. Bob Mc. | |
