Dennis states on his great home-page:
"On November 29, 1961, the chimp Enos was launched on a two orbit flight on Mercury-Atlas 5. Enos successfully splashed down and was recovered by the destroyer USS Stormes (DD-780). Legitimate covers from the Stormes are not known to exist (fakes do exist)."

A couple of years ago, Superior Auctions sold a November 29, 1961 cover from USS Stormes. This is the only Ennos PRS cover I ever saw looking good in my opinion.

There are some covers from board USS Stormes with a cachet honouring Enos flight postmarked on a later date.

What is your opinion?

Best regards from late-summer Salzburg,
Walter

Hi Walter-

I didn't see the Stormes cover in Superior (I quit watching Superior several years ago). Gave away all of my old catalogs too. Do you have an image of it? I'd love to see it.

Best,
Dennis
