Does anyone know who makes the SpaceX distributed mission patches? They really seem to do a beautiful job with their emblems. I'd actually like to use the same company for patch projects of my own.If anyone has any information, I'd sure appreciate it. |

I don't want to disappoint you Bill, but I have two sealed year set packages for 2012/ 2013 and 2014 both marked SKU 1SPX101120 Made In China. The third set of five patches (2015) only has the barcode label on it with no indication of country of manufacture. |

Hmmm... I'm not surprised that some of the manufacturing work would be farmed out, but wouldn't the actual partner company be based here in the States? And is it possible that it's AB Emblem? |

Bill, I can guarantee you it's not AB Emblem.

It is no revelation Jacques, but a link to a Chinese supermarket website which supplies the U.S. market and seems to sell everything, including the kitchen sink! The SpaceX patches are from $0.75-$1.29 each, but the minimum order is for 100 of each patch. ($0.75 is for 14,000+ of the same patch). The supplier/manufacturer is jxconch, Logo Factory, Guangdong, (mainland China). They are currently selling the CRS-3, CRS-4 and CRS-5 patches. |

Yes Jacques, mostly junk, but a few AB Emblem surprises. It looks like AB Emblem are still having a few of their NASA patches manufactured in China by this company?Look what "NASA patch" brings up too.
- 5" NASA SCA The Final Mission
- STS-61C
- EVA 5 star Vitruvian Man
- STS-38
- The current ALT patch
- 4" Mars Exploration Rover
- Project Viking Mission To Mars
- New Horizons patch
You have to type in "SpaceX patch" otherwise you just get junk! |

Couple of Alex Panchenko Soyuz patches there as well (which were originally made by Dingsheng Fabric Co). |

I just checked the site and I don't think they are the original suppliers. I checked some of their USAF patches and they have copied some of our patches directly off of eBay. All of the little thread pulls etc. are exactly the same. They have an NRO patch that is my scan.I do know for a fact that the original SpaceX patches do come from China, but I'm not sure that these folks are the suppliers. I have sent them some inquiries, asking to see actual patch samples and have them sent to me. |
