My interest is mainly in pre-1975 items, so answers can focus on that era if that makes things any simpler. I have been seeing a number of tie bars, tie tacs and pins that are described as being premiums for employees at NASA and contractors, but in most cases there is nothing indicating NASA or a company. Images of the mission logos, figural LEMs, command modules, etc. My impression is at least some things of that kind were sold at retail during that period, so is there a resource I can do to confirm what is a retail item vs an employee premium? And what about reproduction items? I see sellers who have what seems like an unending supply of things like Snoopy related pins, which I initially thought were hard to find. I realize people with long-time connections in the right part of the country may have deep supplies, but it does start to give me pause. Have these kinds of things been faked, and if so, are there any "tells"? |

Could you please give a couple of specific examples of the jewelry in question? If you mean the Apollo mission emblem pins, "figural LEMs, command modules, etc", those were indeed available to the general public. |

With regards to Snoopy, the only authorized jewelry of which I am aware is the astronaut-awarded "Silver Snoopy." You can read about the many different styles, real and replica, here. | |
