I noticed this interesting listing on eBay, a vintage tablecloth, made by Owens-Corning, that seems to be made entirely of beta cloth.
I'm not going to bid on it, but I am curious. Did the company really use NASA-grade beta cloth for consumer products in which fireproofing would come in handy?

I saw that too. I actually kept a copy of the image with the beta cloth care instructions.
