I know someone here will know the answer. My question has to do with the MIR crew patches during the Shuttle-Mir program.
I have seen Norm Thagard, Shannon Lucid and John Blaha wear the crew patch from their stay aboard Mir. But as far as I know there are no pictures of Jerry Linnenger, Mike Foale, Dave Wolf or Andy Thomas in their increment crew patch.
The question is- Do they not recognize them as their patch? I've seen images on Jacques site and they show patches with their names but any pics I've seen from that era show those astronauts with the Shuttle Mir Program patch. Does anyone know why?

The only time I can recall seeing the astronauts with these patches were on their shuttle L&E suits on the right shoulder.
