I've recently expanded my collecting to include patches, and I've acquired some Lion Brothers patches that are in nice shape, but since they have no backing (except vegetable starch as I understand it) some of the threads are loose. I've gone through most of the postings in this forum and haven't found any mention of this issue.

I store the patches in archival safe photo pages so they are separate from each other, but I'm not sure what (if anything) can or needs to be done with the threads. I assume that they shouldn't be trimmed, and should also be kept from pulling on the patch.

All times are CT (US)
