Hi everyone,
i wonder if anyone can help me some imformation on some patches i have just bought.
Up to now all my space related patches have been embroided but the ones i have just aquired seem to be felt backed and the design on the front has a a rubber feel and look to them.
They are Russian by the way,are they are copies or a new way of producing patches. They are Russian made.
Thanks for any help you can give.
David.

Dave- Scans would be a great help. I would check with Jacques at spacepatches.info. He is a great patch historian.

Hi David - I have several original Russian patches from my Shuttle Mir days that are felt backed and rubber on top. In particular they are the launch complexes. I do have some duplicates that are stitched and much older. The rubbery ones are still authentic - they just found a different way to make them. While they can still be authentic, you have no way of knowing when they were produced.
