Was a patch ever designed for the Skylab Rescue Mission (Brand - Lind) that almost took place in August '73? I know a crew photo was released. Thanks. |

As far as I know there is no patch for that mission, but of course it could be that the crew had a design but never released it because the flight never happened. |

Tom, I sent a design to Vance Brand and received a reply from him that he and Don Lind decided not to commit to a patch unless they were going to fly. Where can I see the crew photo? |

Tim, the Skylab Rescue Crew photo is number: S73-33159. Or, go to the Apollo Archive, click on "Post Apollo", and tab down to that photo number. |

Tim, I, for one, would be interested in seeing a scan of the unused rescue mission design. |

When you see it remember that I was only 16 years old at the time. It's frustrating now but I wasn't too careful in cataloging my work. But Vance Brand was kind in his letter. |

Tim, if the crew actually did fly the mission, I'm sure they would have chosen your version as it depicts their mission perfectly. Letter from Brand was nice. |
