Ryan "The Brickman" McNaught, one of only 13 LEGO Certified Professionals, has built an 18.7 foot (5.7 meter) tall Saturn V with launch umbilical tower using 120,000 bricks. It took him 250 hours to build.
The Saturn V will be on display at Brickvention, Australia's Premier LEGO show, on Jan. 21-22, 2012 at the Melbourne Town Hall.

Now that is what I call a masterpiece in LEGO building.

This has my inner LEGO geek at conflict with my not-so-inner space geek...
That it's built out of 120,000 LEGO bricks and stands 19 feet tall: AWESOME!
But it appears both the Saturn V and LUT are weirdly out of proportion at parts, and there are detail errors (that darn 500-F roll pattern!).
So much awesome, so much potential to be so much more awesome...
But that all said, it's not like I have the LEGO skills to build better, so I still think it's an amazing accomplishment.

The proportions might not be as precise but as you said Robert it is still an amazing accomplishment made Down Under.

I have to admit that it is quite an accomplishment even if the accuracy is a little off.
Would that be a "block III" service module?

It's the new extended version!
I met a guy years ago who built a 1/25th ISS out of K'nects and it even had a Space Shuttle.

It is a little long and thin proportionally (the number of levels on the launch tower make it look twice as tall as a normal Saturn V). Still, that is CRAZY cool!
How do you TRANSPORT something that big anyway?
