I just finished a 1/24 model of Vostok 1 for the 50th anniversary of that flight. All comments and pictures available here.

The model is based on the 1/24 Revell model although it is highly modified.

That is a very impressive model involving a great deal of work. Your photography of the construction of this spacecraft is great.

I have a question: Compared with the cost of the original Revell kit, what do you think is the market value of the completed Vostok 1?

I worked on the model everyday from January 28th up to April 8th. I estimate to have spent about 100 to 130 hours on the model. I f I were paid to do this job, I would sell the model for about 3000 €.

Fantastic! Amazing work. I especially appreciate the research you did on the Sharik sphere, which never seemed very conclusive before.

Congratulations.

Superb model, and great to see the Belgians (Tintin and his dog) in the display.

Great model. Nice work, I ordered the revell- kit but I will not be able to make the kit as detailed as this one is. Good job!
