In a day or so, I will post some pics of a completely scratch-built Gemini interior in 24th scale, seats, instrument panels, etc.

I would love to see your photos!!

I'm working on a 1/24 Gemini at the moment myself, also scratchbuilding most of the interior. Just because I'm a guy who likes to bite off more than he can chew, I'm also adding an Agena and Dick Gordon in "ride 'em cowboy" mode!

I guess you're using official NASA photo number S65-60604?

Agreed; is that light an interior light? Looks really cool! Keep up the superb work.

Thanks, all, that is a grain of wheat bulb in the upper breaker panel, where it is in the real capsule. I need to repaint the one end, as you can see, the light bleeds through, and the real light, only the center is illuminated. I sculpted a&b putty around it to give it the correct shape of the real light. Switch is in the instrument section. Haven't figured out how to get the ones in the doors. Might try fiber optics on the next one. Then the instrument panel, that's easy though.

Steve, I don't know where you get the time to create these wonderful models! I envy you - the detail inside the capsule is amazing!

I just recently received a model of the Gemini 7 built on commission by Steve Nichols using my Revell 1/24 scale kit. I personally commissioned Steve to build this model for me.

When I opened the box containing the model, I was greeted with lots of wonderful surprises. That Gemini model is wonderful!

It has so much more detail on it than is visible in the photos. It looks 100 times better in person than it does in any photo. I like the weathering, the stencils on the capsule and equipment module. Steve even did the loose straps on the boom, and the silver rings around the thrusters on the nose. When I opened the cockpit doors I received another pleasant surprise. That cockpit looks 100 times better in person than in the photos. That cockpit is excellent with lots of details. The seats were scratch built. It even has the abort handle, the water dispenser, oxygen hoses, circuit breaker panels, and even the map pouches. That cockpit works. He made it work. That cockpit is excellent.

That paint job on the capsule, retro, and equipment modules is smooth. This model is clearly of fine quality and workmanship. This Gemini has everything. I like lot's of details, and this Gemini has all of the necessary details.

This model took longer to build than either of us expected. It took almost half a year? I don't even remember. But the end result is what made it count. If Steve would have rushed the build, then it would have been a disaster. It was well worth the wait. I am very satisfied with the completeness of this Gemini model.

The entire model is beautiful. It goes way beyond my expectations. I like it. I like it. I like it. This Gemini is a modeling triumph. It is a wonderful model!

To me it's the best Gemini model ever.
