Do any of our hardware experts here have information on the Mercury UCD, particularly that worn by John Glenn (which is now at the National Air and Space Museum)? I'm helping a colleague with some research, but we're coming up empty. I'm interested in development, manufacture, etc. Any documents or data would be of interest. Thanks in advance! |

You might care to hunt through these -NASA Space Medicine in Project Mercury SP-4003; A paper on Space Suits - ref N6S-88672; Booklet ref - NAMRL SR 96-1. I think you can Google all of them. The first is an interesting read even if it doesn't help much. |

Not sure if it is relevant anymore, but I could not find a picture of one using a quick google search. However I do have quiet a few sealed contingency UCD for males (the condom like variety) and female (depends). Awkward items to have, but I do have them sealed and marked for flight. | |
