I acquired what appears to be a threaded bolt? I need some help with identification.

Is encased in plastic paper weight 3" dia x 2 1/2" tall. Bolt is 1 1/4 dia x 1 5/8" tall. Appears charred from re-entry. Light brown in color metal bottom and 2- 1/8" metal rods running through top to bottom. Could be a sensor?

Has "SKYLAB III" & "JULY 28-SEPT. 25, 1973 embossed at base in the plastic. Any help would be appreciated.
