I'm a big fan of collecting flown items, specially flown flags and patches. Since there is a wide variety of presentations and awards it would be nice to have a thread with pictures and info of flown flags and patches (presentations), similar to the one about coins minted with flown or historical metal.

We can include any information we have: mission(s), inscription, days flown in space, rarity, or special attributes.

This crew patch was flown aboard the Orbiter Atlantis, STS-46, July 31 - August 8, 1992, from which the EURECA-1 scientific research spacecraft was successfully deployed for retrieval during a later Shuttle mission, and the first Tethered Satellite System (TSS-1) was deployed and retrieved.

Very interesting collection.

I am Italian and of course could not miss the first Italian (I've two) flag brought into space by an Italian astronaut: Malerba (STS-46). I also have one mission flag

Then I have two framed autographed by the crew of STS-75 (my friend Guidoni, and Cheli, great test pilot) flown the two patches were donated to Stuckey, then I bought them myself.

I wish I had an Italian flag Apollo era, but the cost is prohibited!

All times are CT (US)
