Is there a source that still makes kapton that I, Joe Public could order from? I always keep reading about it, but haven't the foggiest how it feels or looks. You know us curious humans. To read is one thing, to touch, I learn and understand better. Go on, tell me you haven't tried to just touch a spacecraft, just out of curiousness! Also, when I frame a new print from Alan Bean of the Eagle, I want to wrap the frame in it. Okay, sure, I know, tacky as can be, but what the heck! |

Dupont continues to manufacture kapton polymide sheeting... it is available in rolls via their distributors.------------------ Scott Schneeweis http://www.SPACEAHOLIC.com/ |

KSC sells a thermal blanket that looks like kapton foil although I'm not sure it's the real thing. |
