Can someone tell me the difference between a Soyuz viewing port and an illuminator?

The terms appear to be used interchangably by the Russian lister(s) however they are one/same...

Even the Vzor, which means "look" is a modified viewport with graticules is also referred to as an illuminator.

They have not changed much from the Vostok days, they are about 7.5 inches in diameter.
