There were three spacewalks (extravehicular activities or EVAs) on STS-98 by Robert Curbeam and Thomas Jones. Jones wore extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) 3005. That suit was the first EMU to remain on the ISS after a space shuttle departed. EMU 3005 launched on STS-98, and returned on STS-104. This is my tentative list of the EMU suits delivered to the ISS: - EMU 3005 - STS-98 / STS-104
- EMU 3011 - STS-100 / STS-104
- EMU 3013 - STS-104 / STS-105
- EMU 3017 - STS-104 / STS-105
- EMU 3010 - STS-105 / STS-108
- EMU 3016 - STS-105 / STS-110
- EMU 3009 - STS-108 / STS-113
- EMU 3014 - STS-108 / STS-111
- EMU 3015 - STS-110 / STS-111
- EMU 3011 - STS-111 / STS-114
- EMU 3013 - STS-111 / STS-121
- EMU 3005 - STS-113 / STS-114
- EMU 3009 - STS-114 / STS-121
- EMU 3010 - STS-114 / STS-121
- EMU 3006 - STS-121 / STS-123
- EMU 3008 - STS-121 / STS-123
- EMU 3015 - STS-121 / STS-116
- EMU 3018 - STS-116 / STS-126
- EMU 3003 - STS-123 / STS-126
- EMU 3004 - STS-123 / STS-119
- EMU 3005 - STS-126 / STS-128
- EMU 3011 - STS-126 / STS-129
- EMU 3006 - STS-119 / STS-129
- EMU 3009 - STS-128 / STS-135
- EMU 3010 - STS-129 /
- EMU 3018 - STS-129 / STS-130
- EMU 3005 - STS-130 /
- EMU 3011 - STS-132 /
- EMU 3015 - STS-135 /
When STS-135 undocked, there were four EMU suits (3010, 3005, 3011, 3015) on the ISS. Which EMU suits were delivered to (and returned from) the ISS after STS-135? |

All four "short" EMUs that were left on the ISS by shuttle missions have since been returned. There are currently four "short" EMUs on the ISS — numbers 3004, 3006, 3009 and 3015 — these have all been delivered by SpaceX Dragon cargo missions. Just to clarify, 3015 was returned, refurbished and then relaunched since STS-135. SEMU 3006 will be replaced in the near future by 3013 on a future Dragon. The short EMU configuration (SEMU) is a specific way for it to fit inside a SpaceX Dragon without the lower torso, helmet, gloves and arms. One SEMU is rotated down and up every year. |

I have that Thomas Pesquet was wearing EMU 3009 on his recent Expedition 65 EVAs in June and September. Do I have that wrong? |

Sorry my bad. You are correct — 3009 is now on orbit and 3008 is on the ground currently. I made all the corrections in the original post above — 3006 is coming back in the next swap. |

And as long as you are keeping score, next month’s planned EVA for the P1 SASA R&R by Tom Marshburn and Kayla Baron will use SEMUs 3004 and 3015. |

This photo of Jack Fischer was taken on Expedition 52 and is dated July 20, 2017. So I figure those four EMU suits are 3003, 3006, 3008 and 3010. You can see what looks like the numbers "3010" and "3003" on two of the suits. |

Out of curiosity, what is the source for your info?By the way, you missed one, when SpX-7 exploded, it unfortunately took along with it SEMU 3017. |
