I have an STS-107 Robbins medal, #286, that I picked up years ago and can't remember the collectSPACE member I purchased it from. Is there any way to find out whose collection it came from? I do not think I received a LOA for it.

I am planing on sending it to NGC and would like to find this info.

I acquired #280 from cS member James Brown. Perhaps you did the same.

What I am trying to find out is who the original owner was, who got it from the company.

I did have several at one time, but have no way of knowing, or remembering, which numbered medallions I had.

I found the guy who sold it to me, but unfortunately he does not know who the astronaut was who bought it. I am wondering if NGC are able to figure this out? I am going to send it in anyway.

Most of the STS-107 Robbins medals in collectors' hands today were never the property of an astronaut.

Most were acquired by the families of the fallen astronauts and the other astronauts in the program, but my understanding that the handful that have been sold/traded since were mostly from the small group of non-astronaut individuals (collectors) that the Robbins Company was selling directly to at the time.
