I have a medallion that has Snoopy on it and commemorates the first moon landing, with the year 1969 on it. It is about 1.5" across and says "All Systems Are Go" on one side with Snoopy in a helmet, holding a case that says "Flight Safety". On the other side it has Snoopy on his doghouse with the helmet on and says "First Landing on the Moon Commemorative 1969." In very small type below the doghouse is "United Features Sydicate 1969" and Schultz signature. It is a silvery metal, but I don't believe that it is sterling silver. It feels too heavy to be aluminum. It looks identical to this one that I found through Heritage Auctions. Does anyone know the history of the manufacturing of these and the value? |

They come up fairly regularly on ebay and, depending on condition, range form $20 through to the low $100's. Items in the original package tend to hit the high $100's and a few have stretched to the low/mid $200's in the last 4-5 years. |

Thanks for the reply.Do you know anything about the origin of them? Who they were made for, were they sold or given out as a promo item, etc? |

These were made by Determined Productions, Inc. during Apollo and were sold commercially. I think they were just a few dollars at the time. |
