GilbertVery interesting.

Guests share their reaction to the world premiere of "The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks" at a star-studded reception held at Lightroom King's Cross, London.

Booking until 21 April 2024, get your tickets for The Moonwalkers.

nasamadAttended The Moonwalkers today with my (non space geek) girlfriend. Really great show and well worth it he price of the tickets. I'm pretty sure the room shook as much as the fake LCC shakes in the Saturn V Centre at KSCVC!

The way the show intertwined Artemis and Apollo was great and Andy Saunders' work blown up to massive room size looks incredible. Of course Tom Hanks narration was perfect, telling his story of witnessing Apollo as a school boy.

If you're lucky enough to live in the UK or you're here on a visit, I can't recommend it enough.

Robert PearlmanAdam, the show sounds fantastic.

I am curious, did you watch the entire show seated or standing? And if the latter (or a mix of the two) did you wander around the room or stay in one place? What would you recommend is the best way to experience the show?

nasamadRobert, we watched the show seated. There are padded benches in the room, all oriented facing the same wall, while at the back of the room there are a few levels of tiered benches, but you would need to still crane your head around to see what is projected on the wall above you.

The seating faces one wall where the main countdown to the show and mission control screens are projected, and the narration is subtitled at the top. This is the focus point of the show.

I think wherever you sit your going to have to look around a bit if you want to see every image as all 4 walls and the floor have projections on them.

Robert Pearlman"The Moonwalkers" has been extended at Lightroom from an original closing date of April 21 to now June 9, 2024.

No word yet if it will then be staged in another venue.

MOLHere is a new video from Lightroom featuring more clips of the experience and showing Tom Hanks with the Artemis 2 crew at the Johnson Space Center.
KiteVisited it on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed. Recommended to all who can attend.
Robert Pearlman"The Moonwalkers" has again been extended at The Lightroom. Tickets are now available through Oct. 13, 2024.
thisismillsThank you for posting an update on the extension.

I'll be in London for a few days in June, very happy that I will be able to see this now, just got my ticket booked.
