Boeing donated a Delta III upper stage to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, California and they are displaying it upright with a fairing next to the freeway.

Our iconic Delta rocket is sporting a patriotic red, white, and blue makeover in celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, honoring both Independence Day and Southern California's aerospace legacy.

Originally built by The Boeing Company and first launched in 1960, the ten story landmark has stood at Discovery Cube since 2010 as a reminder of the engineers and innovators who helped shape America's journey to space.

Special thanks to artist Daniel Antelo with MASS Murals for bringing this vision to life, and to the generous Discovery Cube donor who made this project possible. Happy Fourth of July!
