This sale features 155 lots from Rich Jurek's collection, including notably flown $2 bills from the Jefferson Space Museum. For example, see Gene Cernan's three-time-flown $2 bill. Though I regret seeing his collection being broken up, we are all just temporary custodians for the pieces we curate and this way more people can take joy in and further the research that Rich began. |

Thanks, Robert for the post. Yes, after many decades, and for various personal reasons, now is the time for me to pass the torch on many of these one-of-a-kind items. It's time for the next generation of curators to carry the torch with them.... |

For those interested in some of my space flown currency collection, Numismatic News published a profile today to spread the word in that community.

I have about 25 lots marked to bid on, but let's agree that they are just awful and nobody else should bid on them or indeed even look at them. Avert your eyes! On the other hand, several lots consigned by a fantastic cS member of almost 20 years are just glorious and lots of people should bid on them, among them: An original Apollo Command Module control panel signed by Fred Haise. An Apollo Lunar Module Grumman Contractor's Model, also signed by Fred Haise. A Jim Irwin WSS portrait, inscribed to one of the 20th century's best-selling authors. |

Some great items sold at this auction. I noticed some of the items I was following did not sell. What happens now with these items? Will they appear in the next auction? |

Yeah, that Apollo 15 8-ball was drool-worthy. Congrats to the lucky new owner. (Can I come visit it?) |

I got one item I bid on. I finally was able to complete my moonwalkers Signed WSS collection with the Jim Irwin signed WSS. Surprised it went so (relatively) inexpensively. |
