From Astrolab: The manifest for our FLIP rover is bringing payloads of many shapes and sizes to the lunar surface! Some of the smaller payloads coming along for the ride on our rover include... - Commercial tech demos to measure lunar dust accumulation on coated tiles from Spade Bros, Voyager, and Smart Material Solutions.
- A STEAM education project by Uplift Aerospace and Dr. Sian Proctor allowing students to submit letters that will be digitally etched onto a crystal and included as part of a lunar time capsule.
- A coin-sized artifact by UNESCO and Barrelhand engineered to survive over a million years on the Moon featuring works such as the Mona Lisa and the original French edition of Le Petit Prince.
- A payload by LifeShip containing a digital DNA and plant seed bank.
- Neutron spectrometer payload by Puli Space
that will collect indicator data for water ice on lunar surface. Unveiling art launching on board our FLIP rover! As part of our collaboration with Uplift Aerospace and artist astronaut Sian Proctor, we are proud to be launching an art piece on FLIP designed by Dr. Proctor. The “Messages to the Moon” patch artwork captures words and images inspired by student letters about their hopes, dreams, and reflections on the future of space discovery and lunar exploration. We're excited to preserve this art and these aspirations on the lunar surface. |

Astrobotic's Griffin Mission One is now NASA's Moon Base II mission: Planned for launch later this year, this mission will deliver more than 1,100 pounds of cargo on Astrobotic's Griffin lander, including Astrolab's FLIP rover, to mature mobility systems that inform future lunar terrain vehicle, or LTV, operations. | |
