Does anyone have an opinion on this autograph by Jack Swigert? I have many doubts that it is authentic. Thanks.  |

Not sure it is genuine, but also not totally sure it's a forgery either.The Jack looks right, a lot of the Swigert looks ok except for the S and T. The S could be explained by trying to avoid a dark patch on the logo. But the T looks all wrong, unless it is an autograph from later in his life and he'd significantly altered his signing style. As always, best check with Steve Zarelli, a quick email opinion doesn't cost the earth. |

Thanks for the answer. I didn't ask to buy, but to inform the group. I just wanted your opinion. Someone wrote to me in private indicating that it is fake (as I imagined). |

Based on my opinion, the Swigert is certainly not genuine, but rather a forgery. |

Thanks, Joel.  Those were the first words from Apollo 13 spoken by Jack Swigert immediately after the oxygen tank explosion and what he would have also said after seeing this signature said to be his. |
