Well, Robert made it to the big time. I just saw him on CBS News. He was reporting on Giffords' visit to NASA last night. Just in case Rob is feeling his oats today, I want to remind him that CBS Early Morning is ranked 3rd among the big three networks morning shows. Nice going, Rob. |

Thanks Larry... this all came together late last night after I got back from the STS-134 post-flight briefing at Space Center Houston, where Rep. Giffords made an unexpected appearance (her first public appearance). To be honest, I was paying more attention to the crew than I was Giffords, but seeing her smile made me smile. |

Robert was also heard on WCBS Radio 880AM out of New York City a few minutes ago, reporting on the Shuttle and Kelly/Giffords meeting as he received an award. They repeat news like that during the day, and WCBS-AM can be tuned in all the way down to Washington D.C. if your location is right. And as I type this, there it is again! Congrats Robert! |

Were any pictures taken of Giffords and Kelly at the ceremony? |

I didn't know you owned a non-space themed tie - and a suit! Looking good! Congratulations! |

I wonder when Robert will begin charging for his autograph? Perhaps after he writes his memoirs! |

Is there something you wanted to add but didn't have time for? |

The clip included above shows only part of the interview. I know they revisited the segment several times but I do not know if more of what I said was ever shown. That aside, there wasn't a whole lot more that could be said. The NASA event was not meant to be focused on Giffords, but rather her husband and his crewmates. There was lots to be said about the astronauts' presentation, but that wasn't what CBS was having me on to discuss. |

You looked fantastic in your suit, Robert, but it would have been fun to see your "got space?" T-shirt. Congratulations on some great air time. |
