Weta Workshop (the company who made the props, armor, sets and costumes for the "Lord of the Rings" films) has just announced that they'll be selling a bronze statue featuring Snoopy on the moon.
This is limited to only 75 copies, in commemoration of Snoopy's 75th anniversary.

As one of the great moments from space history, it has been captured in pencil, ink, plastic, sterling silver and plush. Now, it has been cast in antique bronze.
It was, of course, in 1969 when the "world famous astronaut" became the first... beagle on the moon.

Astronaut Snoopy was on hand at San Diego Comic Con today to reveal and launch pre-orders for the $4,999 sculpture:

Excellent! Would love a resin version in full colour if Weta are ever considering doing one.
