Zena Cardman released the Crew-11 mission patch, representing her upcoming flight to the International Space Station with fellow NASA astronaut Mike Fincke, JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov:
With gratitude for the journey, and joy for the adventures ahead: go Crew 11.

Hmmm... two names upside down, I always thought that was a no-no in crew patch design.

A little bit "China in space." Would add the ISS to avoid it.

The official description:
The Crew-11 mission patch embodies teamwork, exploration, and the deep connections that bind us — across nations, agencies, and families.

Shades of white, red, and blue pay tribute to the flags of the three nations represented by the crew, while three gold stars symbolize the unity of our three space agencies working together in pursuit of discovery.

At the heart of the design, two radiant sunbeams form the number "11" illuminating a blue circle — a subtle nod to Voyager's Pale Blue Dot image, reminding us of the fragile unity of our shared home. This vision of Earth is reflected in the dragon's eye, reinforcing our focus on exploration and the perspective gained from space.

The dragon, evoking the heraldry of family crests, stands as a guardian of our mission and legacy. Within the stars, we honor the children of the crew, a reminder of the generations inspired by human spaceflight.

Encircling it all, a red flame represents both the power of launch and the plasma of reentry, symbolizing the full journey — our departure from Earth, our work aboard the International Space Station, and our safe return home. Crew-11: Together, we rise.

I agree with Victor. China is gradually taking the lead, even in design.

And of course, with Luc too. Two names upside down, never!

Not a great design when compared to the previous missions. Just seems too obvious, no subtleties. Also as previously mentioned, names upside-down.

This SpaceX Crew-11 patch is now available to buy from the employee exchange (Shop NASA) at the Johnson Space Center.

Unfortunately they are not an AB Emblem made patch but are of an unknown manufacturer like quite a fair number of Shop NASA's most recent mission patches are.

I'm currently in Florida visiting Kennedy Space Center and the surrounding area, and I picked up a Crew-11 patch at the Sands Space History Center.

The date code I received is as follows:

  • 476721 A-B Emblem Made In USA 06/2520

I bought the JSC Patch from the NASA store earlier and yesterday the AB version showed up. As you can see from the photos there are some significant differences.

Notably the JSC version is closer to the original art that shows the "spikes" are outside the circle.

For what it's worth, per Derrol Nail on NASA's coverage of the launch of Crew-11, the dragon on the NASA patch was hand drawn by Zena Cardman.

Nicole Jordan, NASA operations manager for the Commercial Crew Program, wore what looks might be a hand-made Crew-11 broach on the day the mission launched.
