India's Gaganyaan crew and mission patch will be revealed tomorrow, Feb. 27.
Four vyomanauts, under training for the maiden Indian human spaceflight mission, will be awarded the mission wing (logo).

Their names will also be revealed to the nation during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre on Feb. 27, 2024.

From India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi (via X):
It was a very special moment for me to hand over wings to the four Indian astronaut-designates. They reflect the hopes, aspirations and optimism of 140 crore Indians.

India is proud of Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla.

The wings he awarded were embroidered patches:

The four vyomanauts were seen wearing a patch, but so far, I have not seen a close enough photo to show details.

This image is a bit better. The patch seems to be based on this design that I believe started out as a fan-produced one.

A47 designed the patches for India's astronauts.
Out of nowhere, we were given the opportunity to design the Gaganyaan patch for India's first ever astronauts.

I would absolutely love to go into how this opportunity came along and the person that had faith in us to deliver, but I think I'd rather keep it a little confidential for now. You know who you are sir and if you're reading this I'd just like to say 'Thank you sir, godspeed and Jaihind!'

All times are CT (US)
