Robert Pearlman"Space Shuttle," the full-length documentary narrated by William Shatner, will premiere this Friday, July 1, at 8 p.m. EDT on NASA Television.

Rob JoynerDoes anyone recall the name of a PBS aired documentary Shatner narrated in the (early?) 90s? It included real time footage of Earth features taken from orbit which Shatner identified, like the boot of Italy, cities at night, etc. I only saw part of it and it was never scheduled again.
irish guyYes indeed, I remember this documentary, one of my favourites. The Hubble deploy crew are very involved.

I had the pleasure of discussing it with Loren Shriver in John Nolans bar in Cocoa Beach a few years back.

I have this somewhere in the attic but only in the old VHS version. The crew watching themselves in an IMAX Theatre is amazing.

I will transfer it to disk if you would like.

And the name of the documentary... An Astronauts View of Earth.

Rob JoynerI'd love a copy of that! I just looked online but couldn't find it for sale anywhere, though I did find out that it first aired March 17, 1992.

Please contact me off site. Thanks!
