Robert PearlmanAccording to PlaneSpotters.net, Halo Red missions were flights using NASA's WB-57 aircraft with the space agency's markings removed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom out of Kandahar, Afghanistan. NASA's WB-57Fs are no longer used in this capacity, having been replaced with other BACN-equipped platforms such as the Bombardier E-11A and Northrop Grumman EQ-4B.
