I have seen this done with patch sets produced for the Boy Scouts of America.Each patch can stand on its own, but together it tells a story, creating a complete picture. The use of a modified hexagon shape is a nice creative surprise, appreciated when they are all placed together. I very much like this set; however, I would have reoriented the banner and ribbon in the upper-right patch to prevent breaking up the horizon and to orient the lettering to be consistent with the other two patches.
