From NBC News:
The package fell back to Earth and landed 47 miles (75 kilometers) from the launch site, 50 feet up in the branches of a tree. Which is an apt place for a wayward kitty to end up.

Greggy_DWell done! It's hard to believe Hello Kitty saw some sights that most of us will not see with our own eyes in our lifetimes.

Yeah, but that doesn't say if she actually got it back or not...
Greggy_DWell, you see Kitty in the tree and the video cameras have recorded the moment. Obviously she retrieved the video cameras since the recordings are posted on YouTube. Thus, I would be led to believe that since she recovered the cameras, she also recovered Ms. Kitty.
Lou ChinalMy cat was talking to other cats in the neighborhood, all is well.
moorougeI think it's a good time to remember Felix, the moggie that actually made a trip to the edge of space aboard a French rocket.
