T O P I C R E V I E WgarymilgromI'm interested in volunteering some of my time to help others interested in the space program. This could be at a school, a museum or at NASA. Does anyone know of any opportunities for this, especially in the Atlanta GA area?Thank you.Robert PearlmanGary, you may want to seek out your area NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassadors to offer your assistance with planning and running their events. That could lead to you becoming an Ambassador, when they open their next recruitment. You could also become active in your local chapter of the National Space Society. You might also contact your state's NASA Space Grant office to learn what activities they support and where you could be of service.tegwilymI've been doing the Solar System Ambassador thing for about a year now. I'm pretty much doing the same kind of stuff I've been doing for a long time, but getting credit for it, and you get on a few mailing lists so you get some pretty cool stuff in the mail every now and then from JPL. TomFFrenchIt would be remiss of me not to add a pitch for museum volunteering. NASA will often donate large amounts of the same materials that you would find in the (great) programs mentioned above, but you can also use whatever else you wish! You appear to have an interesting local science center which lists volunteer opportunities online, and is even hosting a public astronaut event in ten days' time...
