T O P I C R E V I E WDavidHIf someone has posted this before, I apologize, but RocketRaffle.com is looking for people who would be interested in buy $50 raffle tickets for a chance to ride a Soyuz to the International Space Station. They haven't started the program yet, but are looking for people to sign a non-binding pledge that they would buy tickets. http://www.rocketraffle.com/ ------------------ http://www.hatbag.net/blog.html "America's challenge of today has forged man's destiny of tomorrow." - Commander Eugene Cernan, Apollo 17 Mission, 11 December 1972RodinaAnd I'm going to afford the $8M tax on that prize how, exactly?Hart SastrowardoyoDidn't a Texas company hold a similar type lottery for a ride to Mir, only to be stopped by the US government? Anybody remember this?RodinaI don't remember whether or not that Texas thing was associated with Space Commerce Corporation or not, but it was ultimately shut down because there was a problem with Texas gaming law.Robert PearlmanIt should be noted that Space Adventures, Ltd. (for whom I used to work) owns the sole rights to transport the next four private space explorers (i.e. tourists) aboard Soyuz TMA spacecraft to the ISS between 2004 and 2007. I cannot find any mention of a marketing agreement with SA on the RocketRaffle website. One might want to inquire how they plan to purchase a seat to the ISS if you intend to pledge to buy tickets.
