T O P I C R E V I E WbigrookieI am new here and trying to help out a friend with the sale of her father's collection of space memorabilia. He had an amazing collection of things — parts of space shuttles, heat shields, rockets, patches, hats, pins, books, records signed by buzz. The first stuff I am trying to help with is the patches he bought at all the launches he went to. I have spoken to a few people in the know and have a ballpark idea of what these are worth but am looking to others with more experience to let me know what a fair price for these is. Here is a link to Dropbox so you can go and look at the pdfs I have made showing the scans of the patches. Let me know if you're interested in any of them. Most I have multiples, of some only one. Some I have ten or more of. It's a big box of patches. Next up will be the pins. I'll do my best to answer all the questions asked. Mike DixonI collect patches, but not avidly so by any stretch. In my opinion, these are worth not a great deal (individually) at all. Then there's finding a market for them in this community.bigrookieThanks! I appreciate that a lot. just because it looks cool or you think it's cool, doesn't mean it's worth anything. I am putting the word out here and there and we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll have a NASA themed yard sale. Thanks again.randyI'm interested in the Canadian and "unknown" patches. Please contact me.bigrookieEmail sent.randyPayment sent.SparkR_13Have an issue accessing the PDFs, PC restrictions. Could you send me the listing of patches? Thank you most kindly.Ken HavekotteThe "unknown patch" is the official crew patch design for the Shuttle Discovery 7-member crew and mission of STS-39 in April-May 1991.bigrookieSparkR_13, I sent you an invite to the Dropbox page via email. I also tried sending a few pdfs. Let me know if you get any. Thanks. — GarnetrandyGot the patches today. Thanks!bigrookieGreat!!
