T O P I C R E V I E WDavbrunsonI have available an amazing postcard that has been signed by Wernher von Braun and additionally Ernst Stuhlinger. This was postmarked in January 1967 which was shortly before or around the Apollo 1 fire. This was purchased from Florian Noller (Spaceflori) and his certificate will accompany the piece.Personal pieces likes this are very difficult to find. $750stsmithvaIt is indeed rare to see a handwritten message like that from von Braun. And what an unusual one: a postcard mailed from Antarctica to Tahiti! When researchers are headed to the South Pole, they sometimes offer to take pre-written postcards from people to mail from there. I once had such a card mailed to my class, as a fun little thing for geography lessons.Do you have a translation? DavbrunsonMy neighbor is from Germany and I am trying to catch up with her to translate for me.Jurg Bolli"Dear Wolfgang, best wishes from the South Pole. We had a wonderful round trip to all of the American stations in Antarctica."Ken HavekotteNot only is this a wonderful postcard in the hand of Dr. Wernher von Braun, but also note the signature below von Braun's; it's Dr. Ernst Stuhlinger, one of his close associates and top rocket team member.Stuhlinger joined von Braun's German V-2 rocket development team during World War II.
