Shuttle Endeavour | I would like to buy really anything flown on STS-134 or STS-135. It doesn't have to be a bookmark. Please e-mail me if you can part with one. Thank You. |
vidoz | I don't know if it is what you are looking for, but Donnis Willis has a Flown STS-135 Provisions Card up for auction on eBay. |
Shuttle Endeavour | Yeah, I know, but I really don't like bidding. Thanks though. |
Shuttle Endeavour | I did get a piece flown on STS-135, but I am still looking for STS-134. |
Robert Pearlman | Can you share what you acquired from STS-135? Just curious as to types of items that are circulating from the final space shuttle mission... |
Shuttle Endeavour | A STS-135 Flown Provisions Card. I secured it but I have not yet paid for it. Still waiting for an invoice. |
Robert Pearlman | Ah, cool. So these are the pieces I know about or have seen in private hands from STS-135: - mission patch
- U.S. flag
- bookmark
- gold seal ("Program Manager's Commendation")
- Robbins medal
- provisions cards
Anything else circulating? |
Shuttle Endeavour | Robert, what has been circulating for STS-134? Also, or they rarer than STS-135? |
Robert Pearlman | Mostly similar items from Endeavour's final flight: - mission patch
- U.S. flag
- bookmarks (2)
- Space Shuttle Program
- "Wings In Orbit"
- Robbins medal
- Robonaut 2 patch
|
Shuttle Endeavour | Do you know of anywhere where I could buy a bookmark flown? |
Robert Pearlman | I know it doesn't help much, but they get listed on eBay from time-to-time. I don't know of any retail listings at the moment. |
Skyforce1 | I have a flown Shuttle Commemorative pin 1981-2011 from STS-135 given to me by Mike Zolotorow. Needless to say, its one of my most cherished possessions. Godspeed Mike. |
Robert Pearlman | Is this the pin/presentation? On edit: Joe confirmed it was the same. |
Shuttle Endeavour | That pin was flown on STS-135? Or an unknown mission? |
Greggy_D | Key words are "contains metal flown aboard a space shuttle mission". The entire pin did not fly on a mission and most likely the minuscule amount of flown metal included in the pin did not fly on STS-135. |
Robert Pearlman | According to the STS-135 OFK, pins of that design did not fly on Atlantis (though it is possible that the crew carried them in their PPKs, which is why I asked Joe). The pin I pictured was made using metal flown on an earlier flight. (The mission is known, but NASA chose not to make it public.) |
Shuttle Endeavour | Does anyone have an idea of the year the shuttle mission was with the flown metal? Is it that same used in the Winco coins and pins? |
Robert Pearlman | It is the same metal as Winco has used in its other shuttle products for NASA. The space agency has decided not to release the mission information so that the flown material can represent all shuttle flights. |
Shuttle Endeavour | Still looking for STS-134. The STS-135 provisions card is awesome. It is for the ISS Food Warmer. |
Shuttle Endeavour | Still looking for something flown on STS-134. |
FlyOften | Please check flown cargo identification cards at Lunar legacies: this one is for STS-134 for $55. You will also find some there for STS-135 and STS-133. I really hope you get something flown from STS-134! |
cosmos-walter | Don't forget covers and letters carried on board STS-135 between ISS and earth. Details are given here. |
