Rob Sumowski | Hi All: Has anyone visited Novaspace's Custom Signings page lately? It states that Harrison Schmitt will be there for a signing in 2005. Wow! Rob |
mdmyer | Here is a direct link to the page. Holy Schmitt is not enough. It also states that Jim Lovell and Micheal Collins will do some signings in 2005. http://www.novaspace.com/AUTO/SIGNINGS/Signings.html Happy New Year 2005. Aztecdoug | Ahhh yes Houston, there is a Santa Claus! ------------------ Warm Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! |
4allmankind | Any prelim guesses at Schmitts fees? Just for giggles? |
Matt T | Great news! I'm guessing that "I was walking on the moon one day" is going to be his most requested inscription. Cheers, Matt ------------------ http://www.spaceracemuseum.com |
nasamad | Unless he charges loads by the word ! Then it will be "Orange Soil!" Happy Christmas to all........Adam http://adboo.com |
767FO | Just a wag...$150 +extra for inscriptions. |
4allmankind | 767FO- That was exactly what I was thinking. I will not doubt be a customer for one or two at that price. |
Spacepsycho | Hi Everyone, All items have to be into Novaspace by Jan. 31, or else there's a late fee. The prices seem a bit steep for everything but a simple signature, it's a mail in signing only and I'll be sending a couple of pics. [Admin note: Link to invite-only signing order form removed at request of Novaspace Galleries] [This message has been edited by collectSPACE Admin (edited December 27, 2004).] |
Robert Pearlman | Note that, per Novaspace, due to time constraints, this signing is only open to those who are invited via their mailing list. Visit Novaspace Galleries website to register. [This message has been edited by Robert Pearlman (edited December 27, 2004).] |
AuthenticItems | reasonable prices I think, i just posted unsigned photos/lithos of Schmitt on ebay and astro-auction, just do a search for his name and you'll come accross them |
Rob Joyner | Just received my notice from Novaspace! Already downloaded the order form and deciding just what to send in.... |
John K. Rochester | Thank God I got him free before he stopped signing!!!!!!!!! |
Mike Isbell | Ditto. |
mdmyer | And for those of us who did not get him before he stopped signing, Thank Goodness he is doing this signing at Nova Space. Mike |

Amen to that! Bearing in mind that his signed WSS shots always sell for around $150+ and signed shots of him on the moon sell for anything from $200 to $350+ the base fee of $125 seems pretty reasonable. The fact that he signed for free in the past is irrelevant now. |
fabfivefreddy | I did not receive an invite- am I out? Tahir |
disglobes | I guess I am lucky. My father sent a request to Dr. Scmitt in April 2003. He wanted to give me some signed items as a gift when I returned from Iraq. I was home visiting for Christmas and I received the Business Suit Portrait back signed from Dr. Schmitt. Charles |
Rob Sumowski | Hi Charles: You did luck out by getting Schmitt through the mail recently, but then again you're a soldier doing some really tough work over there, so you truly deserve it. Very much. Enjoy! (By the way, cool dad you have there.) Rob |
dss65 | I certainly agree with Rob--you deserve it. Enjoy! ------------------ Don |
davidcwagner | Great news. I have several items that will be submitted for his autograph. His fees are reasonable. I believe that this is the 1st time he will charge for autographs. Dr. Schmitt was a gracious signer in person each of the three times that I met him. He signed two or three items each time and was a pleasure to talk with. |
Mark Zimmer | Just a reminder that Schmitt-and-Cernan-signed photos are still available from the Astronaut Scholarship group that does the AAC for $150---I assume Schmitt will also be in the lineup for the AAC in 2006 or 2007 since they're starting to run short of astronauts. |
