[b]SpaceX CRS-18 Mission Overview[/b] A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the CRS-18 Dragon spacecraft to low-Earth orbit to deliver cargo to and from the International Space Station for NASA. The 18th flight of up to 20 missions under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services contract with SpaceX, the CRS-18 Dragon will deliver more than 5,100 pounds (2,300 kg) of research, logistics and spare hardware for the Expedition 60/61 crew including: [list][*]NASA's International Docking Adapter-3 (IDA-3), which, when installed on the space station, will provide the microgravity laboratory with a second common port for visiting vehicles, including commercial crew spacecraft. [*]Techshot's BioFabrication Facility, which is designed to print organ-like tissues in microgravity, a stepping stone in a long-term plan to manufacture whole human organs in space using refined biological 3D printing techniques. [*]Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company's "Pushing the Limits of Silica Fillers for Tire Applications" investigation, a materials payload to evaluate the creation of novel silica forms and structures in microgravity that could inform future efforts to improve tire performance through the development of new manufacturing techniques on the ground. [*]Nickelodeon's "Slime in Space," a series of science demonstrations that will educate students on the basic principles of fluid flow in microgravity versus normal gravity on Earth. [*]Adidas soccer ball, examining the dynamic spinning behavior of a soccer ball in microgravity, which could help resolve information gaps in aerodynamic testing.[/list] The Dragon spacecraft that will support the CRS-18 mission previously supported the CRS-6 mission in April 2015 and the CRS-13 mission in December 2017. Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover the Falcon 9's first stage on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The CRS-18 Dragon will return to Earth with more than 3,300 pounds (1,500 kg) of cargo after spending about four weeks at the space station.
